On March 23, Ambassador Shen Minjuan visited Zamiin Udd county of the Dornogovi Province for the China-aided infrastructure project for passengers and freight at the road border crossing. The Ambassador also visited the Mongolian side of the Erenhot-Zamiin Uud economic cooperation zone and the railway gauge changing facility at the crossing for detailed information of the port operation and the progress of the economic cooperation zone.

The Mongolian side commended the infrastructure project with Chinese aid at the crossing as it increases the efficiency significantly and looks forward to working with China to develop the economic cooperation zone.

Ambassador Shen said that China is ready to strengthen port development and cooperation of the zone with the Mongolian side to deepen Belt and Road cooperation and contribute to port revival and economic revitalization of Mongolia.
