On behalf of the municipal government and the award-winning students, Deputy Mayor Khosbayar expressed sincere gratitude to Ambassador Shen, saying that Mongolia and China are permanent neighbors connected by mountains and rivers, and learning Chinese language and culture has become an important choice for Mongolian youths. I believe that the children will be able to master Chinese and contribute to national development and Mongolia-China friendship.
Ambassador Shen said that the inclusive Chinese culture has lasted for five thousand years. In the 75 years since its founding, the People’s Republic of China has been a pioneer in innovation, becoming the world's second largest economy and the largest engine of global growth. The next "China" is still China. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Mongolia, and cultural exchanges have become an important pillar of relations between the two countries. I am very happy that more and more Mongolian students choose to learn Chinese and formed a bond with China. I wish that Chinese teaching in Mongolia will get better and better. I hope that students will live up to their youth, work hard to empower themselves, contribute to the country the friendship between China and Mongolia.
The award-winning students were deeply encouraged and would continue to work hard to learn Chinese and realize their dreams.
After the event, Ambassador Shen and Deputy Mayor Khosbayar exchanged views on bilateral relations, especially sub-national cooperation.
