On September 2, Ambassador Shen Minjuan attended the opening ceremony of the 2024-2025 academic year at the Mongolia-China Friendship School of the Association of Chinese in Mongolia. She awarded Ambassador’s scholarships and grants to the teachers and students. The ceremony was attended by around 500 people, including the Association of Chinese in Mongolia, experts from the Sukhbaatar District Education department, and the teachers, students, and parents of the school.
Ambassador Shen stated that over the past 60 years since the establishment of the Mongolia-China Friendship School, it has played a significant role as Chinese language education in Mongolia becomes increasingly popular. The school has provided a large number of outstanding bilingual talents, contributing both to Mongolia's national development and to the friendly cooperation between China and Mongolia. Knowledge and education transforms the future. The Chinese Embassy in Mongolia hopes to help students better learn Chinese and pursue their dreams, and encourage teachers to dedicate themselves to education and support students in shaping their future.
Ambassador Shen also highlighted that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Mongolia, and cultural exchanges have become a key pillar of the bilateral relationship. She expressed her hope and belief that more Mongolian youths will choose to learn Chinese and form lasting ties with China, contributing to the friendship between the two countries.
