Ambassador Shen Minjuan Visits Arkhangai for Friendly Events and UNDP Projects

Ambassador Shen Minjuan visited Arkhangai for a series of events of friendship and local United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) projects at invitation. 

Ambassador Shen, together with the Governor of Arkhangai, Tserennadmid, attended the opening ceremony of a photo exhibition commemorating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Mongolia. Governor Tserennadmid highly praised China's contributions to the development of the aimag and expressed the wishes to further strengthen friendly cooperation with China to support local development.

Alongside Arkhangai government officials and representatives of the Mongolia-China Friendship Association, Ambassador Shen visited a kindergarten built with Chinese assistance, as well as another kindergarten named after Mongolia-China friendship, where she received a warm welcome from the teachers and students.

Ambassador Shen's delegation also planted trees along the Tamir River in the newly established “China-Mongolia Friendship Woodland,” in support of Mongolia's “Billion Trees” initiative.

Additionally, Ambassador Shen, accompanied by UNDP Representative Dimovska, held talks with the Governor, met with female members of the provincial parliament, and visited UNDP's projects on sustainable green development and resilience building. She also engaged in discussions with local herders.

Ambassador Shen noted the deep and close ties between China and Arkhangai and expressed China’s willingness to support the aimag in key areas such as animal husbandry, tourism, and capacity building.
