On October 31, the Chinese Embassy in Mongolia, together with the Mongolia Rehabilitation and Development Center for Children with Disabilities and China Railway No. 4 Engineering Group, co-hosted the “Build Love Under the Same Blue Sky” charity donation event and the 5th anniversary of the China-aided Center. Ambassador Shen Minjuan, Mongolia's Minister of Labor and Social Protection Enkh-Amgalan, Center Director Uugan-Erdene, and UN Resident Coordinator in Mongolia Tapan Mishra attended the event.
Ambassador Shen noted that the Center is a major livelihood project initiated with the support of high-level leaders from both China and Mongolia. In the five years since its establishment, it has benefited numerous children with disabilities and supported the development of services for people with disabilities in Mongolia. With “connected hearts and a shared future,” China remains committed to assisting Mongolia in improving healthcare for children and advancing the well-being of the Mongolian people.
Minister Enkh-Amgalan stated that the China-funded Center has served over 42,000 people and plays a vital role in enhancing Mongolia’s healthcare system and improving the health of children with disabilities.
Center Director Uugan-Erdene highlighted that the Center is not only the largest, most modern, and fully equipped rehabilitation facility for children with disabilities in Mongolia, but it has also become a flagship project in the international field of rehabilitation for children with disabilities.
Ambassador Shen, together with Director Uugan-Erdene and representatives from China Railway No. 4, presented awards to outstanding healthcare workers. Guests celebrated by cutting a cake for the Center's 5th anniversary and toured the Center's facilities.
