On the morning of February 24, Ambassador Shen Minjuan saw off Chairman of the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia at Chinggis Khaan International Airport in Ulaanbaatar, Amarbayasgalan, as he departed for his visit to China.

Chairman Amarbayasgalan expressed his delight in visiting China before Tsagaan Sar, Mongolia’s most important festival. He looked forward to deepening cooperation between the legislative bodies of both countries and promoting greater progress in bilateral relations, particularly in practical cooperation, to bring more benefits to the people.

Ambassador Shen stated that the Chairman chose China as first foreign visit destination since taking office. It reflects the great importance he attaches to bilateral relations. She wished the visit complete success and hoped it would inject strong momentum into the development of China-Mongolia relations, especially in legislative cooperation.

At the invitation of Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, Chairman Amarbayasgalan will lead a delegation to visit China from February 24 to 27.
