On February 28, the Agreement on Legal and Judicial Assistance in Civil and Commercial Matters was signed in Macao SAR by Secretary for Administration and Justice Cheong Weng Chon and Minister of Justice and Home Affairs of Mongolia Batshugar Enkhbayar.

The 21-article agreement covers the service of judicial documents in civil and commercial matters, the taking of evidence, the recognition and enforcement of judgments, and the exchange of information on legal and judicial practices. Macau and Mongolia will jointly handle civil and commercial disputes in cross-border jurisdictions, encourage cross-border investment and trade, and promote economic development and the movement of people between the two sides.
